Kindred - A PSP Community Project

AceCreator , the official Sack Spokesperson for LBP PSP delivered this message about kindred he wished to pass along to you all... We can honestly say that we didn't see this coming; 'a collaborative project that introduces a brand new story level series to the PSP community.' Fantastic! Well, a project of this kind of scope and ambition deserves recognition, and is to be applauded. The very professional publicity image had already caught our eye here at Cambridge (nice work, dajdaj03), so we were intrigued, along with everyone else. That's quite a team you guys have assembled there: amazingflyingpoo , Arrestor/ Maboe84 , BlueBulletBill , CyberSora , Domick12 , Fastbro , jeffcu28 , Lleonard Pler/ Lleonard , salieri/ SalieriAAX ,...

We'll also have some of our community all-stars at the event who will be jamming and creating things live, so you can see what kind of things can be made with the new tools, and get some handy hints and tips from them on building your own levels. Additionally we'll be presenting various aspects of the game at the LittleBigPlanet 'Genius Bar', and we should have some special play challenges and other crazy things going on, so pop on by and say hey! See you at PAX!

LBPC Creator Spotlights: Teebonsey, Jump_Button and Poms

Teebonesey If you could list your favorite thing about LittleBigPlanet, what would it be? My favorite thing is twofold - First is the ability to prize your brain open like a dusty old crate and let loose the wild beasties within in an unheard-of capacity. The second is the ability to actually experience in a strange way the untamed insides of so many other peoples' brains. Part of that experience is how the "LBP level" is its own medium and we've been able to explore it, to innovate with it, to invent with it. It's a microcosm of every major new art form. We are the first filmmakers, the first recorders of music, the first photographers, all in the shoebox...

LittleBigPlanet Community Game Jam

LittleBigPlanet Central has a full lowdown of the event , written by the very people who attended, well worth a read if you want to hear first hand about how all the new tools come together, and how they can be used to build your own games…. The first hour or so was chaos. Straight up. We literally didn't know where to begin. The vast selection of new tools, features, and options left us all flying off in different directions. Some of us messed with the circuit boards, some of us made little contraptions, while others explored the new materials, objects, stickers, and decorations to be used in LBP2. Others played with sackbots and switches and gravity controls. Meanwhile, the...

LBP PSP Sackademy award Nominations 2010

Best Use of Story Telling a story with LittleBigPlanet is often the last thing on a creator’s mind. However, some of you have taken the time to craft funny, interesting dialogue. And the Nominees are: A Dingo Down Under by amazingflyingpoo The Empire’s Striped Snack by tsr13 Now and Then by amazingflyingpoo Best Vehicle The rocket camel is a popular choice, and we’ve all made simple cars with a simple ‘grab switch and wheels’ set-up, but some creators have raised the bar. And the Nominees are: The Garage by MattAstr AT AT WALKER by SalieriAAX Steamroller: Calamity Construction by jackofcourse . Just because it pulls a wheelie, every time. LittleBigPlanet Central’s Creator Spotlight: Morgana25

*If you could list your favorite thing about LittleBigPlanet, what would it be?* My favorite thing about the game is that you have this wonderful set of tools to express yourself creatively. You can tell stories, make beautiful images or scenes, create characters and any number of other things that are uniquely you. I really love that it brings artsy, creative types and logical, engineering types together too. The mix of art and science doesn't happen enough in real life. Imagine what people could do if it did! *Aside from drawing inspiration from other creators and levels, is there anything in the world outside of LittleBigPlanet that inspires you?* Well my career as a graphic designer has influenced my work...

PSP Create Contest : What did Sackboy do next?

For this competition we are looking for you to create a level to show us what adventure Sackboy got up to after ‘The Carnival'. Since Sackboy enjoyed his travels so much, he decided to revisit his previous adventurous locations, but where did he revisit?, and what new adventure did he get up to? Whatever he did next is entirely for you to decide. Did he go back to 'Tinsel Town' to become an even bigger movie star? Or did he move back 'Down Under' to Australia to play with the kangaroos? Maybe he hit the slopes again in 'Alpine Run'? To find out more about entering the competition, I suggest you head over to the LittleBigWorkshop forums at once!
